The Short Version of the Long Story...

I have quite the history with Design. We go waaaay back.

It all started when I was 13. I became a fan of a show... a soap opera to be more precise... General Hospital to be exact. I started watching during summer break and fell head over heels for one of the actors, so I went on the internet to search him out. Now, if you're even a marginal soap fan, you know how fanatical some of the soap fan websites can be. There were beautiful cyber-shrines to my favorite actor all over the place, and I wanted one of my own...

And that's how I got started. I began by teaching myself the basics of HTML using some handy-dandy websites out there. Then, I began to tinker around with Photoshop. I taught myself all I could for about a year or so until I finally joined the yearbook staff. There, I learned the basics of good design and I was off and running.

7 yearbook staffs, 3 newspaper staffs, and 1 Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design later, here I am. I do this because I love it - you'll notice by my pricing that I'm not necessarily in this for a profit. I just love sharing what seems to be my gift and passion with others.

I hope you enjoy your stay here - this place has been over 10 years in the making!

A Note for Fellow Designers and Photographers

New Company Logo :: Serenity Construction

I’m so excited to share this logo.  My friend Meghan’s husband is a custom home builder specializing in luxury lakeside homes.  They came to me recently looking for a little help with their logo - I was more than happy to oblige!

A modern (and tasty!) Baby Announcement

Lots of things cooking behind the scenes here - I have a new adoption portfolio in the works and I have been working on about a million t-shirt designs for a cheer squad’s camp clothes (yee haw!).  First though, a super cute baby announcement:

I’m still here - promise!

I’ve been designing a bunch of stuff recently… it’s just been crazy busy trying to get stuff on the blog!  Here’s my latest creation for Cowtown Camera Girl… more soon!

One Last Christmas Card…

This Christmas card is a follow up to perhaps one of my most favorite baby announcments EVER.  Little Jack is getting so big and I think the photo that they sent me is truly amazing!  Thanks for letting me do your Christmas Cards again this year!

Christmas just keeps coming!

It’s been a great Christmas season around here - here’s another one that’s a joint venture between MediaDia and my photo side of the business!

A Christmas Card for…

one of my photo clients!

They saw what I had done for Nell and wanted their own unique twist on it!
